AirAsia Broke World Record using Social Media
I was reading AirAsia's in-flight magazine on my flight to KL to conduct Certificate in Social Media Marketing, when I came across an interesting snippet about AirAsia.
Amazingly, they sold 1 million tickets within 2 days and they said that "the power of social media had much to do with our (their)record breaking sales".
What a way to tell a story! 2010 is gonna be the year when social media is going to become the mainstream.
I think we are going to hear more and more success stories of companies that have utilized social media to pull ahead of competitors, improve bottom lines, without increasing marketing budget.
