Web Hosting in Malaysia or Overseas?
If I want to set a website or blog to promote my products or services, should I use web hosting in Malaysia or overseas? What factors should I look at to help me make that decision?
Is there a forum I can go to for feedback on how well the web hosting companies in Malaysia and overseas perform their services?
Thanks very much in advance.
May your Day be Bright and Cheery!!!

Business Tip by Willy LimHi Daniel,
I have no personal experience with web hosting providers in Malaysia. However, as I have hosted with various overseas web hosting companies before, I must say that not all web hosting are created equally!
My criteria to choose web hosting, whether in Malaysia or oversea, are as follow:-
1) More than 5 years in business, and more than 100,000 websites hosted with itI really hate the idea of a fly-by-night web hosting company to suddenly go down, and bring my website down with it too!
The fact that so many websites are hosted with the webhosting company, also acts as a proxy to the reliability of the service provided, and that customers are somewhat happy to stay with it.
2) Gives you UNLIMITED diskspace, UNLIMITED bandwidth and ability to host UNLIMITED websites and subdomains, at ONE SINGLE PRICE.Your online business presence and needs will grow. And therefore, you would of course want all the diskspace to store all your stuff, and all the bandwidth to stream all your audios and videos.
Also, you will want the ability to host many different domains on the same host and add as many subdomains as you want, without having to pay extra.
3) Affordably pricedObvious isn't it? I would think anything under USD10/month is pretty reasonable, if the web hosting company (Malaysia or oversea) fulfill criteria 1) and 2).
You can do more research on Google by searching "web hosting reviews", and find out how other people rate various web hosting providers.
At NetProfitQuest, we recommend
Hostgator.
The above are just my thoughts.
If anyone has any recommendations for good web hosting in Malaysia or overseas, feel free to share them by commenting on this article :)
P.S. Apologies for the late response, Daniel. We just had a full week of NPQ trainings :)
